I finished up at Ford in Dearborn, MI at the end of the year. This was a great project! I worked with the latest and greatest SAP technologies including the following: ECC6.0, ABAP Objects, the new debugger, enhancement points, XI/PI,CRM, EWM, and Solution Manager. The project was also managed very well with time allocated for prototyping, design, development, testing, functional and technical signoffs, etc (and a little soccer). Ford is an awesome company and they will emerge from this downturn successfully. Try to make your next auto purchase a Ford.

While in the Detroit area I was able to do many fun things including the following: Red Wings hockey game; Lions football game (yes I was a part of the historical 0 and 16 season), took a Second City improv class, Motown Museum, Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village, University of Michigan football game in Ann Arbor, and the Ford Rouge Factory tour (very impressive andclean).

The SAP market has taken a major hit in this economy (less jobs/lower compensation) so the first 2 months of the year were very slow for me. In March I started my current project, a PP implementation (with MRP and plant extensions) at NorthropGrumman in El Segundo, CA. The coast to coast travel is rough but at least I am able to work remotely every other week.

Enjoy the spring and summer!!! All the best.
